Katherine L. Magsanoc graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philiipines, Diliman in 2000. She is currently on leave from her graduate studies in the same university.

Known to most media colleagues as Kai, she has worked in online, print and broadcast media as website producer, copywriter, copy editor and managing editor. In 2008, Kai founded a teen magazine called SugarSugar, which focused on and gave tribute to high school and college students who made a difference, and celebrities with substance.

Kai is a proud single parent to 10-year-old Basti, and to her dogs Tyra, Frodo, Mocha and Rambo. She is an advocate of carbon footprint reduction, and is a member of the Bahay Kalipay and Maia communities in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

A happy wanderlust, Kai loves traveling alone, discovering new places and new things about herself each time. In 2008, she went to India and stayed there for a full month alone, long before "Eat, Pray, Love." In 2009, she traveled around Scotland and some parts of England while doing a fashion internship and volunteer work for the Prince's Trust in Glasgow.

Kai is also a commercial fashion and product stylist, music lover, gourmand, astronomer, loving daughter and fiercely loyal friend.
