A pure-blooded Indian who’s born, raised, and lives in the Philippines, Naveen has been writing about sports professionally since 2013 and has been a sports reporter for Rappler since June 2015 for one purpose: to turn special moments into words that can last a lifetime.

He also writes for Rappler’s Lifestyle and Entertainment sections and for the official lifestyle magazine of the Philippine Basketball Association: PBA Life. In the past, he wrote columns for Solar Sports, Basketball TV, Pinoy Exchange, and The Lasallian - the official publication of De La Salle University, where he graduated with a degree in psychology in June 2013.

Naveen lives sports. For years, he’s watched and covered numerous leagues like FIBA tournaments, the NBA, NFL, MLB, UAAP, PBA, and both US and PH NCAA. He also enjoys watching the Philippine Superliga, boxing fights, tennis, and UFC, among others.

In his free time, Naveen likes to binge-watch on TV shows and movies, read books, record podcasts with other die-hard sports fanatics, attend music festivals, shoot hoops on a Monday night, try out new restaurants with friends, or find the latest adventure. Away from the media world, he's a budding entrepreneur who hopes to handle multiple businesses in the distant future.

If he’s not covering an event, you can find Naveen indulging on a pint of Salted Caramel Beer and a plate of Garlic Parmesean Fries at Tipsy Pig while working on his laptop or catching that night’s big game.
