Road trip challenge: Which adventure will you choose for your family?

MANILA, Philippines – Rappler, in partnership with Ford Philippines, will sponsor one lucky family’s road trip this month.

From June 9 to 12, we’ll be posing a challenge through call outs on our Facebook page: With P10,000, what kind of family road trip can you plan out? Contestants will share a full itinerary complete with stop overs, restaurants, and family attractions on the way to one of three destinations: Pampanga, Batangas, or Tagaytay.

The entry with the most fun and creative itinerary will be chosen to take their family along to bring their itinerary to life in the new Ford Everest. The winning family will also be given P10,000 to cover food, travel, and other trip expenses as they travel from Metro Manila to their chosen destination. 

Is your family up for this adventure? Here are the contest mechanics:

1. This contest is open to families with 3 to 4 members and children 17 years old and younger.
2. Rappler will push call outs on Facebook for one family to win a road trip to either Pampanga, Tagaytay, or Batangas. 
3. From June 9 to 12, contestants must comment on the posts featuring their destination of choice, with the following details:

a) A family photo
b) Why they want to go to a road trip on this destination
c) What spots they will visit on this destination (including stopovers and sidetrips)
d) Why their family should be picked for this road trip

4. From all valid entries, Rappler and Ford will choose the most creative itinerary to go on the trip.
5. The winning family will get to go on their dream road trip on June 19*. They will also be lent a brand-new Ford Everest and given P10,000 for all their trip expenses.
6. The winning family must agree to take the road trip with a Rappler representative on the specified date. The family must also agree to document their trip in photos and videos for a future feature on Rappler.

Conditions and disclaimers

• The participating family will be provided with transport and spending money for the one-day duration of the project. Any cost thereafter or beyond the itinerary will be incurred at their own expense.
• Participants must be in good physical health and must provide a medical certificate prior to participating.
• Participants must sign a waiver volunteering to be a part of this project and releasing Rappler of any liability claims.
• Participants will be covered by a short-term insurance cover, which will be arranged by Rappler. The coverage will only be in effect for the duration of the project and will not cover any pre-existing conditions or illnesses.
• Any issues with the vehicle during the project will fall under the responsibility of Ford Philippines.
• Members of the Rappler team will accompany participants at every stage of the trip.
