Cooking hangout with ‘The Sexy Chef’
Watch Rachel and Barni Alejandro do a kitchen demo of healthy recipes from their cookbook The Sexy Chef

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Looking for healthy home recipes that are actually easy to prepare? Let the “Sexy Chefs” teach you how to make them.

Rappler hosted a live kitchen hangout with sisters Barni and Rachel Alejandro. The duo shared a sampling of healthy recipes from The Sexy Chef, their healthy food mini-empire.

What’s in store? There’s a breakfast smoothie, a diet-friendly version of Indonesian fried rice, and “egg” salad tea sandwiches that don’t actually include eggs. Sounds interesting right?

Rachel and Barni created the company 10 years ago, with the goal of making nutritious meals more accessible to fast-paced urbanites. Today, they have expanded their services by offering party and corporate event catering services, lunch and dinner meals for delivery, a published cookbook, and a cooking show that airs on Cignal every Sunday, 8 pm.

During their live demo for Rappler, they showed us how to whip up quick versions of a smoothie, a salad, and a rice dish (yes, being fit doesn’t mean staving off rice!).
