“It is expected to attract students from among professionals in BGC and surrounding business districts,” UP said in an earlier statement.

The Virata School of Business, the School of Economics, the College of Engineering, the School of Economics, and the UP Open University will hold graduate classes in the building named after the chairman and CEO of SM Investment Corporation (SMIC), Henry Sy Sr.

The UP College of Law will also open two sessions – day and night – at the building when it is completed next year.
