In an effort to help cultivate the Philippine startup scene, experts are set to discuss the laws and regulations for doing startups in the Philippines in a series of legal fora that will run from June to July.

The Legal Guerilla Guide for Startups hosted by Disini Tech Legal Forum aims to educate entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs about the laws and regulations relevant to their businesses such as business organizations, foreign ownership limitations, government incentives, registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission and with local government units, different employment types and contract law basics. 

The fora will also feature a free legal consultation for specific startup concerns and an open forum. Designed to be an excellent networking opportunity, it seeks to provide an avenue for entrepreneurs to discuss business-relevant legal issues.

The speakers include Atty. JJ Disini, Managing Partner of Disini & Disini Law Office who has been advising startups on technology transactions, intellectual property, licensing, copyright, and trademark registrations involving startups, and Atty. Rowena Disini, partner of Disini & Disini Law Office whose expertise is on banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and investment and securities. Joining them would be Atty. Keeshia Alix and Atty. Larisa Serzo.

The fora will be conducted in different co-working spaces in Metro Manila. Participants have four schedules to choose from:
