The Jesse M. Robredo Foundation in cooperation with the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance & Ethical Leadership and the Ateneo de Manila University-School of Government will be holding the first Jesse Robredo Youth Leaders Camp: “Empowering the Youth for Good Governance towards Nation-building” on February 8-10 2013 at Camp Explore in Antipolo City.

The camp will gather about 40 to 50 2nd and 3rd year college student leaders from different colleges and universities within Metro Manila. The camp aims to inculcate in the hearts and minds of the young leaders the leadership values and principles that the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo had stood for and had lived out. And that ultimately, the youth leaders become inspired and empowered to be agents for change in good governance towards nation building.

The event has invited as speakers the close friends and colleagues of the late secretary such as Comelec Commissioner Grace Padaca, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona III, Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, Department of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Austere Panadero, and Synergeia Foundation President and CEO Dr. Nene Guevara.
