The Ateneo Center for Educational Development, the arm of the Ateneo de Manila University in helping uplift public basic education in the country, will once again host a fun run on February 17, 2013.

Dubbed “Run 2 Feed,” it will be the second fun run ACED is organizing to raise money, support, and awareness for its work toward public school development, particularly its feeding programs in public elementary schools in Quezon City, Parañaque, Valenzuela, and Bacnotan (La Union).

The success of last year’s first run saw an overwhelming turnout of participants and support from ACED’s partner public schools; Ateneo faculty, staff, and students; Ateneo alumni; corporate sponsors; and running enthusiasts.

Among Run 2 Feed’s corporate sponsors are Robinsons Supermarket, CDO Odyssey Foundation, Quiznos Philippines, Johnny Rockets Philippines, Katinko, Lagalag, Get Blued, Stream Engine Studios, Microtel Inn and Suites Eagle Ridge, Phinma Training Center Tagaytay, Refresh, and Gatorade Philippines.

This year’s Run 2 Feed, which will take place at the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Quezon City, is an eco-friendly run. Although there would be hydration stations on designated routes, plastic cups won’t be provided. Runners, especially those who are heavy on hydration during the run, are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles.

For more information regarding registration and sponsorship of public school participants you may email acedruntofeed@gmail.com or call ACED at 4266001 loc. 4026 or 4028.
