UP Manila's Indayog Dance varsity will stage Sayaw Manila, a benefit concert, on Jan 25 and 26

MANILA, Philippines — They move to express. They move to give back.

UP Manila’s Indayog Dance Varsity (Indayog) is now on on its 10th year of uniting students through dance. To celebrate, they will stage a benefit concert called Sayaw Manila: TenQ on January 25 and 26, 2014 at the Star Theater.

The event is also an act of charity: part of the concert’s proceeds will go to the Buhay Makulay Foundation.

The showdown will feature performances by invited college-based and professional dance troupes, as well as ten performances paying tribute to the most celebrated pieces in past Sayaw Manila productions.

“Sayaw Manila 10 is the culmination of years of sweat, late nights, and tears. It is the time when Indayog looks back and moves forward as it builds a new house for its creativity,” said Prof. Jose V. Ogatis I, the organization’s adviser.

If want to watch, tickets are at P250 (with a pre-selling pice of P230 until Jan 10). For inquiries and reservations, contact Patricia Catly at +639175313267 or +639228349478. — Rappler.com
