MANILA, Philippines – Meet new friends, create great memories, and boost your passion for excellence in the upcoming 35th Annual National Graders’ Convention for Junior Members and Teacher-Advisers, spearheaded by the Children’s Museum and Library Inc. (CMLI) and Baguio City, on September 1 to 5, 2014.
Joined by almost 1,000 grade school students coming from private and public schools nationwide, Graders Convention offers the following to participants:
- Workshops that hone the skills and interests of the delegates by letting them choose what to attend based on their passions, with guidance from speakers;
- Competitions for excellence and entertainment that let the participants share their diverse talents with each other through friendly competitions; and
- Commission Discussions, or the heart of the convention. Here delegates are assigned to different groups to share their insights, and know more about the theme, all through fun and exciting activities. This year, commission discussions will revolve around the theme, “Bolstering Passion for Excellence by Raising Standards through the Filipino Youth in Action.”
Aside from these activities, delegates will also meet speakers, experts in their fields, who will deepen the discourse about the theme and help the delegates connect the link between social issues and their daily lives.
This convention will challenge the delegates to think outside the box, deepen their understanding about social issues, and let them make and pursue their own advocacies.
These are just a preview of what awaits you this coming September! Pack your things and be ready for this one of a kind experience!
