MANILA, Philippines –  In advertising, is it all about selling? Do people go overtime all the time? Do they get to join all the awards shows? Is it really that glamorous? Are the offices always lively and buzzing with great ideas? Does one have to be exceptionally brilliant to make it?

Anyone who is interested in the ad industry has probably asked all these questions and more, though  answering them is not as easy as binge-watching Mad Men or reading through all the Black Swan rants.

When it comes to finding answers to all those burning questions and knowing what advertising is really about, it’s best to hear it from the people on the inside – which is why adobo magazine is hosting the first Festival of Ideas on Saturday, November 22, at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier.

The whole day event aims to reach out to the next generation of creatives and advertising professionals and give advertising newbies, juniors and students a more realistic view of the industry from the inside. The event is divided into eight sessions covering various topics relevant to today’s ad men. Talks discuss issues such as Advertising and Marketing Happiness, Digital Pervasiveness, The Battle for Creativity, Work-Life Balance, and more.
