KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) is a youth community leadership program that aims to create and strengthen the ASEAN identity whilst collaboratively solving challenges faced by local communities.

This year will see AYVP running its 3^rd program, on the thematic area of The Environment, in Cambodia from 2 to 29 August 2015. The main aim of the project is to empower young people across the region as ASEAN Youth Eco-Leaders, equipping them with the competencies to implement environment conservation projects with their respective communities back home.

The project will bring together 50 youth from the 10 ASEAN member states for a month-long fully-sponsored program which includes a 4-day preparatory phase in RUPP, a two-week volunteering and outreach period at Krakor Floating Village, Pursat Province, Cambodia, and a 3-day session on evaluation and project planning.

Applicants are required to be from the ages of 18 to 30 and of ASEAN nationality. The selection will be based on the merits of the individual. The closing date of application will be midnight of March 8. Only shortlisted volunteers will be notified. The selected participants will be notified after June 1.
