World Vision Run 2015: Run to make a difference
Proceeds of the event will benefit World Vision's child sponsorship program currently reaching out to about 100,000 Filipino children

This is a press release from the World Vision Development Foundation, Inc.

MANILA, Philippines – For 58 years in the Philippines, international child-focused organization World Vision has taken huge strides to ensure that Filipino children enjoy the fullness of life they deserve. These efforts gave birth to what is now the most-anticipated running event of World Vision supporters and partners, the “World Vision Run.”

Now on its 4th year, World Vision Run 2015 offers a bigger and more fun-filled event for the whole family. In keeping with this year’s theme, “The difference is love,” World Vision Run allows participants to experience the unique and worthwhile journey of running with a purpose  and that is to make a difference in the life of a child.

Organized by RunRio, proceeds of this event will benefit World Vision’s child sponsorship program currently reaching out to about 100,000 Filipino children, providing them access to education, health care, protection and other community development initiatives for their families and communities.

The race will be held on June 21 at Metro Manila’s biggest running circuit, the Mall of Asia grounds, to accommodate over 6,000 runners  the biggest in the run’s 4-year history.

Categories include 3k, 5k, 10k, 21k. Parents can also join their children in the 500-meter dash making this event, truly, a race for the family to enjoy!

Assembly time for the 21k race starts at 4:00 am; 10k, 5k and 3k at 4:30 am; and 500m at 6:00 am. Participants will also enjoy other fun onsite activities such as Zumba and a child-friendly space for the kids. Special prizes await fathers and their kids in celebration of Fathers’ Day!

We will also be joined by World Vision celebrity ambassadors and advocates Matteo Guidicelli, Kim Atienza, Aljur Abrenica, Miriam Quiambao, Sam Concepcion, Rocco Nacino, Lovi Poe, Tippy dos Santos, and many others. – Rappler.com
