MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - The Philippine Stock Exchange main index breached the 6,300 milestone again on Friday, February 1, and closed the week with another historic high -- the 13th this 2013.
The PSEi settled at 6,318.61, up 75.87 points or 1.21% higher on on good economic growth, corporate earnings outlook.
It also set a new intraday peak of 6,342.72.
Volume turnover was at 4.08 billion shares valued at P11.62 billion. Foreign buying was at P7.76 billion and foreign selling at P6.81 billion.
On Thursday, the Philippines reported a 6.6% growth in 2012, but the main index declined by 28.49 points or 0.45% to close at 6,242.74 as investors cashed in on profits. - Rappler.com
