Cebu Pacific marks 20th anniversary with P1-seat sale

MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific Air, the Philippines’ largest budget carrier, celebrates 20 years of service on Tuesday, March 8, with its signature P1-seat sale to 34 domestic and several international destinations. 

The seat sale runs from March 8, 2016, to March 10, 2016, or until seats last. It covers the travel period of July 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.

Since then, it has flown over 120 million passengers.

“Throughout our 20 years of operations, the Filipino people have witnessed Cebu Pacific grow from serving one route, to successfully expanding our flight network to over 90 routes on 64 destinations – spanning Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and the USA,” Cebu Pacific president and CEO Lance Gokongwei said in a statement.

“Today, we mark this milestone by thanking every Juan who flew, is flying, and will fly with CEB. We look forward to enabling more adventures, more reunions, and more opportunities for you,” he added.

The P1-seats are up for grabs on all of the budget airline’s local destinations: Bacolod, Boracay (Caticlan), Busuanga (Coron), Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Camiguin, Cauayan (Isabela), Cebu, Clark, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Legaspi, Laoag, Manila, Naga, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose (Mindoro), Siargao, Surigao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, Tandag, Tawi-Tawi, Tuguegarao, Virac, and Zamboanga.

Cebu Pacific operates flights from 6 hubs in Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark, Iloilo, and Kalibo.

The P1-seats are also available on the following international destinations: Bangkok, Bali, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Doha, Dubai, Fukuoka, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon (Seoul),Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Macau, Nagoya, Osaka, Phuket, Riyadh, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo (Narita), and Xiamen.

Meanwhile, passengers can book all-inclusive fares to Guam, USA for P1,499, and to Sydney, Australia for as low as P4,999.

The airline is slated to launch direct flights from Manila to Guam – its first US destination – on March 15, 2016.

Cebu Pacific’s 57-strong fleet is comprised of 8 Airbus A319, 35 Airbus A320, 6 Airbus A330, and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft. It is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world.
