New route: PAL flies to Doha starting March 28
This new flight will serve about 200,000 Filipinos living and working in Qatar

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines, Incorporated (PAL) will fly 5 times a week to Doha, Qatar, starting March 28, in a bid to expand its Middle East footprint.

The 5 times weekly service (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) to Qatar’s capital city will utilize one of its newest aircraft, the Airbus 330.

In January, PAL launched its flights to Jeddah and Kuwait.

“PAL continues to grow its routes in the Middle East by opening a new route to Doha in Qatar. Our overseas Filipino workers in Qatar can now enjoy that distinct Filipino service that will bring them much closer to home,” PAL president Jaime  Bautista said in a statement.

According to the flag carrier, its new service will provide 200,000 Filipinos living and working in Qatar a convenient route to and from their motherland.

“Likewise, Qataris can now enjoy an easy route to discover the wonders of the Philippines and Philippine Airlines through convenient connections to any of PAL’s 30 domestic and 43 international destinations,” PAL said.

The Airbus 330 that will be utilized for this new flight offers economy and premium economy service.

The inaugural flight will be marked with a formal dinner-reception on March 29 at the Sharq Village and Spa in Doha, with PAL executives, Qatari officials, travel agents, tour operators, and local media.

Tickets for the Manila-Doha route starts at $665 (one way), and $760 (round trip). – Rappler.com
