MANILA, Philippines – It’s not cancerous.

Zsa Zsa Padilla’s fans are rejoicing after the Divine Diva announced on Twitter Wednesday, August 29 that the tumor in her left kidney is benign.

ZSA ZSA'S TWEET POSTED today, August 29

She underwent surgery on Monday, August 27, to have the tumor removed.

Zsa Zsa, who is still recovering from the death of Dolphy, received a scare when she was diagnosed with stage 1 kidney cancer on August 19.

According to a report from Joseph Pimentel of ABS-CBN, Zsa Zsa — who celebrated the 40th day of Dolphy’s death (August 18) in Los Angeles — said her doctor, Dr. Folkes from Cedar Sinai Medical Center, found that she had “a malignant growth the size of a golf ball inside her kidney.”

From the same report, Zsa Zsa said, “The first time I saw Dr. Folkes, he immediately told me it was malignant. So when I heard that word ‘malignant,’ I said, ‘Oh man, I have cancer.’ I went back the next day for blood work and a scan and it showed the same thing — almost a 3cm growth — and he advised for it to be taken out.”

Zsa Zsa’s good friends Dr. Vicki Belo and Kris Aquino led the outpouring of support for the divine diva.

Belo accompanied her and daughter Zia to the States when she sought a second opinion about her condition.

Aquino surprised Zsa Zsa by booking a flight for her daughter Karylle to the States.

Worried fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as Zsa Zsa recovers from her surgery. – Rappler.com
