MANILA, Philippines – The best and brightest of American primetime television were honored on Monday morning, September 24 (Manila time), during the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. 

ABC’s “Modern Family,” a mockumentary series that follows the lives of the dysfunctional but loveable Prichett family, took home 4 Primetime Emmys, including the award for Outstanding Comedy series. The series is set to begin its 4th season on September 26 in the US. 

“Homeland,” meanwhile, took home the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series while lead actors Damian Lewis and Claire Danes took home awards for the best actor and best actress in a drama series, respectively. The Showtime series about the Iraq war and its effects, ended its first season late last year.
