MANILA, Philippines - According to Huffington Post, People magazine reportedly thinks so.

HuffPost Celebrity got the story from Gossip Cop who posted in a November 5 exclusive that Channing Tatum will be declared their "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2012 when he appears on the cover of their November 14 issue.

The magazine, however, is keeping quiet.

When asked by Gossip Cop to confirm the news, a rep reportedly said: “We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed."

According to HuffPost Celebrity, the title "comes with inherent controversy." In 2011, The Hangover lead Bradley Cooper was People magazine's choice.

The result? Ryan Gosling fans protested outside the magazine's New York office. (Remember Gosling in 2011's Crazy Stupid Love?)
