MANILA, Philippines - No, Nicholas Cage will not be part of Expendables 3, an online entertainment news site confirmed.

Sylvester Stallone was asked about Cage's supposed inclusion in the Expendables 3, which is currently in development. But Stallone said he had no knowledge of the matter.

However, while promoting Expendables 2 in Europe, Stallone did say that Harrison Ford, Weley Snipes and Cage could be possible additions to the cast.

Some news outfits, such as Spanish newspaper El Pais, ran the story and said these three actors were going to be part of the new movie, taking Stallone's comments out of context.

Rumors circulated on the Internet when a Sylvester Stallone page on Facebook said Cage will be included in the cast.

However, the post was taken down and the owner of the page, Leo Camplone, apologized for posting the unverified news. Camplone announced also that he will be taking down the page.
