MANILA, Philippines - Disney and Pixar released the new promotional video for the upcoming Monsters University, prequel to the successful Monsters, Inc. animated film in 2001.

Monsters University sees beloved characters Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan aka Sully (John Goodman) in their teenage years.

Designed as a tongue-in-cheek recruitment video for the fictional university, the voice-over goes:

Imagine an education where extraordinary comes standard

And the power that drives us can’t be contained

Where those who embrace their history are those who create it...

Your future is knocking. Open the door. Monster’s University.”

Here's the trailer first released in the 99th Annual Rose Bowl game in Los Angeles in January 2:

The movie shows how the friendship of inseparable duo Mike and Sully came to be. It is directed by Dan Scanlon and will be released in 3D in June 2013.

Even the Monsters University website has the look and feel of a school domain. Check it here.

Other actors who lent their voice to the film are Steve Buscemi (Randall Boggs) and Julia Sweeney. - Rappler.com
