MANILA, Philippines - Following her angry outburst on the set of her upcoming ABS-CBN series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,” Maricel Soriano has been dropped from the show by the television network, according to abs-cbnnews.com.
The unfortunate target of her anger was Gerald Anderson, a relatively younger actor who said, in an interview last December 17, that he felt “blessed” to be part of the veteran actress’s comeback show.
The 47-year-old actress, dubbed the country’s “Diamond Star,” reportedly lost her temper during the first taping day of the show. A scene had to be shot numerous times because Anderson had difficulty executing his line. A vexed Soriano shouted at the young star and walked out of the set.
Sadly for Soriano, the decision of the network to exclude her from the cast is a setback for her newly-revived showbiz career. The show was supposed to herald her return to ABS-CBN after she signed with the network last November 2012.

As for Anderson, he received pats on the back from Star Magic, the network’s talent management arm, for his “unassailable personal character and professional behavior” after the incident.
Despite the change of cast, the network says they will proceed with the shooting as scheduled.
Those close to Soriano say she deserves people’s understanding as she is going through personal problems and that she may benefit from anger management sessions. - Rappler.com
