MANILA, Philippines - Filipino-Americans Adriana Latonio, Bridget Jett Hermano, and Bryant Tadeo made it to American Idol Season 12's top 40 semi-finalists, determined during Hollywood week.

Now it's time for the next phase of the reality talent show's new format.

On February 21 and 22, 28 and March 1, 10 semi-finalists will perform every night, this time at the stage of Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles LOVE Theatre at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

According to a release by ETC, the Vegas move is a new twist in the competition. The semi-finalists will once again be split up by gender — girls on Wednesdays, guys on Thursdays.

In every episode, judges Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and Nicki Minaj have to choose 5 who will stay and move on to the next phase. Five will be sent home.

This means that after two weeks, only 20 contestants will remain.
