MANILA, Philippines – The “AVICII Live in Manila” concert originally scheduled for April 4 has been moved to May 15. It will still be held at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

The two-time Grammy-nominated DJ/producer has postponed his concerts due to health problems. Shows in Brisbane, Perth, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Asia are affected.

A statement from Avicii’s management, At Night/Ash Alliance states:

“The 23-year-old superstar has required hospitalization several times in the last 6 months. His doctors have restricted his travel in order that he may make a complete recovery and return to a full tour schedule later this year.”

Avicii is Tim Bergling in real life. He is behind the music hits “Levels,” “Silhouettes,” and “Fade Into Darkness,” among others. He rose to international fame in 2008 and has done collaborations with Tiësto, David Guetta, Bob Sinclair, and Madonna.

According to Dulaang UP marketing manager Camille Guevara (the organization is one of the event partners), all tickets and table reservations for the Manila concert will be honored on the new date, May 15. – With reports from Ira Agting/Rappler.com
