One Direction were discovered by Simon Cowell in 2010 when they joined UK reality singing show “The X Factor.” According to a release by Columbia Pictures, the band quickly gained a following to become one of the competition’s all-time most popular acts, finishing in the final 3 and garnering a gigantic and loyal fanbase along the way.

As of writing, the group has released two albums: “Up All Night” that has sold over 13 million records worldwide, and “Take Me Home” which features the single, “Live While We’re Young.”

The boys also appear in video in support of Red Nose Day, a UK organization that aids street dwellers and victims of domestic abuse in the UK, and victims of malaria, HIV and AIDS, and poverty in Africa.
