Kris Aquino, suitor cut ties before Valentine’s

MANILA, Philippines – In a recent episode of morning talk show Kris TV, actress and TV host Kris Aquino said a suitor broke ties with her before Valentine’s day, which was also her 43rd birthday, reported ABS-CBN.

Aquino shared that she had been on the receiving end of the words, “I never want to talk to you or text you for the rest of my life.”

She said she was saddened, shocked, and hurt by it, hoping she could “rewind and edit” the things that happened. Aquino said her older sister gave her insights on the matter, saying the person is not good enough for her is he really doesn’t like her.

“Sinabi ng ate ko kagabi, ‘Well he had a courage to take you out and like you, so that’s why malakas din ang loob niya to tell you, ayaw na niya sa iyo.‘ Reality. Sabi ng ate ko, ‘If he doesn’t like my sister he’s not good enough for my sister.’ Sabi ko, ‘Tama, Ate.’”

(My older sister said last night, ‘‘Well he had a courage to take you out and like you, so that’s why he also had the guts to tell you he doesn’t like you. Reality. My sister said, ‘If he doesn’t like my sister he’s not good enough for my sister.’ I said, ‘You’re right.’)

Aquino, however, added that she, too, was responsible for what happened. “Fault ko din naman… Siguro grabe rin talaga ang nasabi ko. At least hinaharap ko na meron talaga akong fault,” she said. (It was my fault, too… Maybe what I also said bad things. At least I know I am at fault, too.)

But the actress, who had had her fair share of rocky relationships in the past, said she can smile again after giving herself only one day to be sad.

“Pero at least diba, walang lokohan… Kaya ko na mag-smile ulit talaga kasi kagabi talaga, hinayaan ko na you’re allowed to be sad one day. Pag mature ka na mari-realize mo talaga. Kagabi pinray ko talaga, ‘Don’t let me be bitter, God,'” (But at least we didn’t fool each other. I can smile again because last night, I let myself be sad one day. When you become mature, you realize. Last night, I prayed,  ‘Don’t let me be bitter, God.’)

“Wala akong tears,” she added. (I have no tears.) 

What most annoyed her, she said, was the fact that the person did not stick around until her birthday.

But she hinted that the person she is talking about will not be able to hear their conversation. “Buti na lang hindi siya taga-rito, hindi niya maririnig ‘to.” (Good thing he’s not from here, he won’t be able to hear this.)

Aquino may have lost a Valentine, but she had recently earned her son Bimby’s blessing to get into a new relationship, according to a separate report by ABS-CBN.

On evening news show Aquino & Abunda Tonight, Aquino shared that her son with ex-husband basketball player James Yap, had allowed her to have a boyfriend, provided she does not go through another break-up. (READ: Kris Aquino sends peace to James Yap on birthday)

“And Bimb told me something wonderful kanina. ‘Mama, because you brought me home my games I want you to be happy, you can already have boyfriend but no breaking up.’” she said.

Aquino said she finds it cute that a 6-year-old wants happiness for his parents. “’Yun lang ang hiniling niya, huwag niyo nang guluhin kung papasok kayo sa relasyon make sure for keeps,” she said.
