Billy’s scene-stealing ‘Showtime’ move for Coleen

MANILA, Philippines – On the February 20 episode of noon time show Showtime, Singer Billy Crawford asked co-host Coleen Garcia if there’s a chance for them to become a couple, reported ABS-CBN.

In a segment titled “Sine Mo ‘To,” a studio contestant admitted to courting a girl who also happened to be in the audience. The girl said yes when asked if there’s a chance for them to become a couple.

After which, Crawford stole the scene and caused an uproar among delighted co-hosts and audience members

“Ako naman, may tanong ako. May chance ba na maging tayo?” he said, addressing Garcia. (I also have a question. Is there a chance for us to be together?)

Garcia was then teased by shocked co-hosts, including comedian Vice Ganda, who urged Crawford to come up on stage and ask her face to face.

This time, Garcia replied, “Oo.” (Yes.)

Crawford had been vocal about his courtship, even in previous interviews and Showtime episodes. But Crawford’s blossoming romance started out with an issue, following his highly publicized break-up with ex-girlfriend Nikki Gil last July 2013.

Garcia was rumored to have been a factor in the split, but the two have since denied the speculations.

While Crawford’s new romance is another publicized one, Gil recently revealed that she has been dating a non-showbiz personality. In an episode of morning talk show Kris TV on February 19, Gil said this person is someone from her Ateneo days.

When asked, she said her break-up with Crawford did not cause her to lose trust in men.

“Kasi parang alam mo na it’s not like that all the time, parang ito ay nagkataon lang. That love isn’t supposed to be like that, hindi siya dapat masakit at hindi ka dapat iiyak,” she said.
