MANILA, Philippines  Anne Curtis returns on stage for her second major concert The Forbidden Concert. Round 2: ANNEKAPAL happening on May 16 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The actress turned singer formally announced the news on noon time show Showtime after performing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” on stage. Similar to the song’s music video, the actress swung from what seemed like a sparkling wrecking ball while singing. The all-out performance trended on Twitter.

Curtis performed in her first concert  titled AnneBisyosa: No Other Concert in 2012. The concert was also held in Dubai on November 2013, where part of the proceeds were given to typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims.

Curtis took to social media to promote her second concert, a project by Viva Live and Annebisyosa Productions.

Speaking to Pep.ph and other members of the press, Curtis revealed that she is also set to release her second record, “The Forbidden Album,” with songs written by artists she described as “legit singers,” Christan Bautista, Billy Crawford, Kris Lawrence, Marcus Davis, and Teddy Corpuz, among others.

In 2011, Curtis launched her first album “AnneBisyosa” under Viva Records, which featured original tracks as well as a cover of Cindy Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle.”

Many may have criticized the actress about her singing ability, but Curtis claimed her singing has improved.

“When I sang nung Showtime, Valentine’s Day, ang daming nag-feedback, ‘Uy, ang ganda na ng voice ni Anne sa ‘Runaway.’ I think pinipili na niya ‘yung song,'” she said. (When I sang in Showtime last Valentine’s day, many people gave feedback, ‘Anne’s voice was nice in ‘Runaway,’ I think she’s choosing the songs now.)

Depende sa song.” (It depends on the song.)

With a comeback concert and upcoming teleseye Dyesebel on her plate, Curtis revealed she has so far recorded only 5 songs on the album. – Rappler.com
