IN PHOTOS: MYX Music Awards 2014

MANILA, Philippines – Stylish urban street wear.

Compared to other awards shows, the MYX Music Awards 2014 was laid-back and casual, yet fashionable all the same. There were boots on the red carpet, coupled with jeans and leather jackets. Each singer, musician, artist, and celebrity showed off their distinct style. (Full List: Winners and nominees, MYX Music Awards 2014)

The easygoing stye translated to the show proper, in which the atmosphere was cheery, the show not short of pleasant moments, particularly with celebrity couples.

There were memorable appearances from both on-screen and real-life couples such as Gretchen Ho and Robi Domingo, who made the audience laugh with their sweet banter, as well as on-screen tandem Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez, who jokingly called each other “Beh,” an ode to the TomDen love team on hit show My Husband’s Lover. 

But perhaps the most notable pair of the night was former couple Chito Miranda and Kaye Abad. After receiving the Favorite Group award for band Parokya Ni Edgar, frontman Chito gave the award presenters a hug, including ex-girlfriend Kaye.

Celebrities Meg Imperial and Richard Poon as well as teen stars Julia Barretto, Janella Salvador, Jane Oineza, Marco Gumabao, and Khalil Ramos, also served as presenters, among others.
