The songs ‘Sabado’ and ‘1995’ are featured in a special CD together with the September issue of Esquire magazine

MANILA, Philippines – More than a decade since their break-up, fans can expect new music from the Eraserheads, coinciding with the September issue of Esquire magazine.

According to the announcement on Esquire’s Facebook page, two songs from the group, called “Sabado” and “1995” will be part of a CD included with the magazine.

Considered as one of the biggest groups of  the ’90s,  the Eraserheads, composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Raymund Marasigan, and Marcus Aldoro rose to fame with the album  Ultraelectromagneticpop!  and is known for songs such as “Pare Ko,” “Ligaya,” “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” and “Alapaap.”

In 2002, the group disbanded after lead singer Ely Buendia departed from the group. Each member has since pursued various projects with Buendia performing with his groups Pupil, The Mongols and The Oktaves.

Raymund Marasigan on the other hand has been dividing his time in between performing with his bands and producing music for other artists.

Marcus Adoro has since been based in La Union and performs with a group called Markus Highway. Buddy Zabala meanwhile divides his time as a producer and plays bass for The Dawn. (READ:The Eraserheads: Coming full circle)
