MANILA, Philippines – Zachary Quinto and the rest of the Star Trek Beyond cast and crew paid tribute to the late Leonary Nimoy in a video for an Omaze campaign, posted on August 25.

“It was an honor and a privilege to know him and to call him a friend. Leonard’s love for the human spirit shone through everything he did. He touched lives around the world and is greatly missed.”

According to their Facebook page, Omaze is an organization that offers “once-in-a-lifetime experiences that benefit charitable causes.” For Star Trek Beyond‘s campaign, a donation of $10 or more supports 9 global organizations, including the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which was very important to Leonard. 

People who donate to their campaign also stand the chance to win a walk-on role in Star Trek Beyond, and to be a part of the “To Boldly Go Crew,” which will visit the set and hang out with the cast.
