Bianca Gonzalez Intal on husband JC as a father, Gilas Pilipinas’ loss to China
Bianca recalls JC's excitement when he learned she was pregnant

MANILA, Philippines – Bianca Gonzalez-Intal said that since the moment she found out she was pregnant, her husband, basketball star JC Intal, has been very involved and is devoted to caring for her and the baby, every step of the way. (READ: Bianca Gonzalez, JC Intal expecting first child)

In an interview during an Olay event (Bianca is their new endorser), Wednesday, October 7, Bianca recalled how JC reacted to her pregnancy.

“He (JC) was excited from day one. Super like even before we got married, he was already excited to be a father, as in he loves kids. He’s [likely] has more than 30 inaanaks (godchildren) probably. Ang galing niya sa bata sobra (He’s really good with kids),” she said.

“So when we found out that we were pregnant, I mean I was happy of course pero siya yung rurok ng (he was really the one that was full of) happiness. And through it all he has been supportive.” (IN PHOTOS: Bianca Gonzalez Intal shares pictures from maternity shoot)

Bianca shared that JC would go with her to all of her check-ups and even took a birthing class with her. He is also set to take a breastfeeding class with her soon.

“He wants to be involved with everything. Kaya for me, being pregnant is not just a thing for the mother. It’s really a couple thing. I mean kaya believe na believe ako sa mga single mothers or women who have to go through a pregnancy alone,” Bianca said.

As for JC’s feelings after Gilas Pilipinas’ loss to China last week, Bianca said that he is now doing well. She did share that JC told her of the team’s feelings after the crucial game.

“The whole time, the two months they were away for training and the main tournament, throughout the whole time this last tournament they weren’t allowed to use social media. They were allowed to call their families every night…so everyday I would hear his stories. Of course, they were very frustrated because they really really wanted to bring home the gold, but wala because of a lot of factors, it maybe not the time yet.

“But I think all of them are just so happy na even before, the time the team was being formed, ang daming  bashers, haters, bakit sila, bakit wala si ganito? (there were many bashers, haters, why them, why was this person not included?) That itself was a challenge to overcome but for them to finish with a silver is really not that bad,” she said.

As for the arrival of their daughter Lucia, all Bianca wants is a safe and good delivery. She also said that she and JC are concentrating now on the preparations when she comes out.

“So far, our plan is very traditional, very Pinoy, very natural. I want to deliver normally, which all of the check-ups have indicated that I can be of normal delivery. I want to breastfeed definitely as long as I can. One decision at a time,” Bianca said. – Rappler.com
