MANILA, Philippines – Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have known each other for 4 years – and Xian says that his feelings for Kim grow everytime he sees her.

At a press conference on Tuesday, December 8 for their upcoming movie All You Need is Pag-ibig, the celebrated love team was asked to talk about their feelings with each other.

Because their movie is about several characters’ experiences with all kinds of love, the couple was asked if their love still blossoms everyday.

“Oo naman, everyday naman nagboblossom, siyempre (Yes, everyday it blossoms),” Xian answered.

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have been a love team since their show, My Binondo Girl in 2011. Xian has been open about his feelings about Kim, but Kim has not directly admitted that she returns those feelings.

The press prodded Kim to answer too, asking, “Na-realize na ba ni Kim na ikaw ang Mr Right (Has she realized that you’re Mr Right)?” referring to Xian’s platinum selling album of the same title.

“Si Xian.. siguro all I need is Xian (Xian… I guess all I need is Xian),” said Kim with a laugh, lightening the mood with a play on the movie’s title.

After avoiding giving a direct answer to the question about Mr Right, reporters gave the topic a rest.

After a while though, someone asked if her “All I need is Xian” comment was purely for fun, or if it had any personal feelings attached.

Kim, once again, tried to lighten the mood with a pun: “Masaya naman po si Xian (Xian is fun),” she said laughing. “Nasisyahan po ako sa kanya (He makes me happy),” she continued, pronouncing “nasisiyahan” as a play on Xian’s name.

Reporters then asked Xian if he still felt giddy everytime Kim suddenly says things like “All I need is Xian.”

“Siyempre (Of course),” Xian answered. He then shared a conversation that he and Kim had while they were shooting their latest TV series, Story of Us. “Tinanong ako ni Kim, sabi niya from the first time na nagkaeksena kami up to now, pareho pa pa rin ba yung pagtingin ko sa kanya? … Kung pareho pa rin ba yung nararamdaman, kung meron pa rin ba or ano.“

(Kim asked me, she said, from the first time that we shot a scene together up to now, do I still look at her the same way? … Do I still feel the same things, if they’re still there or what.)

Xian added that the topic just came up in one of their conversations.

“Tapos sabi ko ‘Siyempre,‘” Xian continued. “Sabi ko, every time nakikita kita, mas dumadagdag at dumadagdag pa yung nararamdaman ko para sa iyo.“

(Then I said, ‘Of course.’ I said, every time I see you my feelings for you grow more and more.)

“Hindi, hindi, totoo, totoo,” Xian insisted. “Never siya nagiging stagnant [ang nararamdaman ko]… from when we weren’t with each other nung Binondo Girl palang tapos to the time na hindi na kami magkapartner [onscreen] tapos ngayon nagbalik po kaming magkapartner,” he said.

(No, no, really, really. [My feelings] never became stagnant… from when we weren’t with each other during Binondo Girl to the time that we weren’t partners [onscreen] and now that we’re back as partners.)

Xian and Kim’s show, Story of Us, was announced in July, and it’s their first TV series together in 3 years. 

In All You Need is Pag-ibig, Xian plays Dino, who suffers from the unrequited love of his high school sweetheart, Anya, played by Kim. During the press conference, Kim explained that their characters’ relationship didn’t work out, because Anya had other obligations.

All You Need is Pag-ibig also stars Kris Aquino, Derek Ramsay, Ian Veneracion, Jodi Sta Maria, and Pokwang. The film is directed by Antoinette Jadaone and will be in theaters on December 25. – Rappler.com
