MANILA, Philippines – Vic Sotto said that he and fiancee Pauleen Luna will reveal the details of their wedding soon on Eat Bulaga.

“Kung itatanong ninyo kung kailan, kung saan, eh abangan ninyo na lang sa Eat Bulaga. Doon nila lahat malalaman lahat, kung kailan, kung saan, kung sino-sino ang mga ninong and ninang,” Vic said during the press conference for the movie My Bebe Love, Wednesday, December 9.

On everything that’s led to his upcoming wedding, Vic said: “Tamang Panahon. Siguro dumarating sa buhay ng tao na that you find the right woman, the right time, and right moment. So iyan na siguro yung sinasabi ng AlDub sa Tamang Panahon.”

(The right time. I guess it comes in a person’s life when you find the right woman, the right time, and right moment. So I guess that’s like what they say in the AlDub series – the right time.)

According to Vic, Eat Bulaga will air footage of the wedding. They are also finishing the house they are building in an exclusive village. 

As for whether they will start a family after getting married, Vic said he’s open to it. 

“Yung baby eh would depend in God’s time. Kung kami ay bibiyayaan (If we will be blessed with one) we will be thankful,” he said. 

Last September 2, Vic confirmed that he and Pauleen are engaged. The two have been dating for a few years now. 

On September 20, in an interview on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, Pauleen said that Vic’s proposal was very simple. 

“You know, it’s very simple… nothing grand, just the way we liked it. Kasi, kami po, very low-key kami. We like to keep our relationship simple. One day nilabas niya lang. Tapos, nagulat ako. And then, sinuot ko, actually, sa sobrang excited,” she said in an interview on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho,Sunday September 20. 

(And I was surprised. And then I put it on, actually, I was so excited.)

“Sabi niya, you like it? Then, sabi ko, ‘Oh my gosh!’ E ‘di sinuot ko. Sabi n’ya, ‘teka, ako dapat ang magsusuot sa’yo niyan…’ (I put it on. He said, ‘wait, I’m supposed to be the one to put that on you.’) Then, sabi niya, (he said) ‘Will you marry me?’ And then, that’s it.”

As for whether he is still affected by the what critics say against him and Pauleen, Vic said: “In the first place, I don’t get to read them. I don’t get to hear about it, and tungkol naman sa edad, wala naman nasusulat sa batas, wala naman sa 10 commandments na bawal ang malabing-labing na hindi kayo magka-edad diba?” (There’s no law, it’s not in the 10 commandments that you’re not allowed to love just because you’re not the same age.) Vic is 61, while Pauleen is 27. 

Meanwhile, Vic said that he’s very supportive of his son Vico, his child with actress Coney Reyes, who will run for councilor in Pasig in next year’s elections. Vic said that his son knows the risks he will be taking.

“He’s very aware of that. Nagtrabaho na siya sa Quezon City bilang isang chief of staff ng isang councilor. So he’s very aware of the trabaho and ever since maliit pa lang iyan, gusto na niya magtrabaho sa gobyerno. And na expose siya sa gobyerno… he wants to make a difference in government service,” he said. 

(He already worked in Quezon City as chief of staff of a councilor. So he’s very aware of the work, and ever since he was young, he really wants to work in the government. And he’s exposed to the the government…he wants to make a difference in govenrment service.)

As for the movie My Bebe Love, Vic said he is confident that the fans will love the movie which features his work with Ai-Ai delas Alas as well as the breakout tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. (READ: AlDub on #respectmainemendoza issue, MMFF movie)

“Hopefully [it will do well] kasi matagal-tagal nila napanood yung AlDub sa maliit na screens, so this is a different venue for the fans of AlDub and Ai-Ai delas Alas. Eh talaga namang nakakatawa itong babaeng ito.Ako hindi ko kailangan magpatawa basta ka-eksena ko si Ai-Ai, it’s a scene already kasi nakakatawa talaga siya.”

(Hopefully [it will do well] because they have been watching AlDub on the small screen so this is a different venue for the fans of AlDub and Ai-Ai delas Alas. That woman is very funny. I don’t have to try too hard because when I’m doing a scene with Ai-Ai, it’s quite a scene already because she’s really funny.)

When asked about his thoughts on the last 5 months following the success of AlDub and Eat Bulaga, Vic said: “Well, amazing. Hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin ma-explain sa sarili ano nangyari, kung ano ang nangyayari ngayon. It’s a phenomenon, na it’s a blessing.”
