Here’s what Kanye West had to say about Taylor Swift after the Grammys

MANILA, Philippines – After speculation that Taylor Swift threw shade at Kanye West in her Grammys acceptance speech, the rapper has had his say on the issue.

In response, Kanye said: “It’s like, I want the best for that person, but there’s people going through real issues out here. There’s people out of work. There’s people in debt that can’t make it out of the debt. There’s people that’s in debt that don’t have a shoe. There’s people that are in debt that don’t have a hit album out also — you know what I’m saying?

“I just feel like this thing that the media’s trying to make this ongoing story for hits… I don’t think people care about me or her in that way. People care about their families, their kids. If you like my music, listen to it. If you like her music, listen to it.”

People have been speculating that there’s some bad blood between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, ever since the Kanye rapped “I made that b-tch famous” in a song in his new album The Life of Pablo.

While Taylor’s rep said that she didn’t know about the lyric before the song was released, Kanye tweeted that he did get her permission to use it. (READ: Kanye West on ‘Famous’ line: ‘I did not diss Taylor Swift’)

In an audio clip from backstage at Saturday Night Live that was leaked, Kanye called Taylor “fake” in a rant.

Later in the week, when accepting her Grammy award for Album of the Year, people speculated that Taylor threw shade at Kanye.
