I’m in utter shock as I’ve just heard the sad news that director Wenn Deramas @wennderwoman has passed on… We worked together back in 2010 for the teleserye remake of “Mula Sa Puso”, and I’ve just grown so fond of him.. I loved his wry sense of humor, he always made me laugh.. I admired him for his work as a writer & director — working with him always felt more like play, it was pure joy with Wenn.. I loved how generous he was with his friends & family, he shared everything he earned with them — he had a golden heart through & through! And now he’s gone  Direk, hindi na tayo naka pag reunion project.. I will miss you, Wenn.. Magkikita uli tayo balang araw, at sasakit na naman ang tiyan ko sa kakatawa sa mga jokes mo.. Rest in peace, Direk, maraming nagmamahal sa iyo na umiiyak ngayon, isa na ako dun  Photo taken at my birthday party in 2013.

Kean Cipriano shared a lengthy tribute on Instagram.

Woke up to a sad news that Direk wenn passed away today. Tears fell. Memories flashed. @chynsortaleza Had to give me a hug to calm my crying heart and i’ve realized that death is actually a celebration of life!! Direk Wenn is the first mainstream director I’ve worked with in my first ever mainstream movie PRAYBEYT BENJAMIN. We’ve been really good friends since then. Non stop asaran! Masaya lang! I am sure that Direk Wenn lived a good good life. Loved by everyone. And….. He definitely made a lot of people happy through his films! Kaya pala noong sa premiere night ng Love Is Blind tinanong kita, “anong pelikula ginagawa mo ngayon?” Pa-joke mo sinabi na “wala! Ayoko na. Pagod nako.” Sabay tawa! Mamimiss kita direk!! you’re in a peaceful place now. You will not be here physically but your Films are immortal!! My love and prayers! Rest in Peace Direk! We love you! 5..4..3..2..1… Action!!
