WATCH: Jimmy Kimmel stars in ‘Batman v Superman’ fake deleted scene
Jimmy Kimmel annoys the hell out of Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne by revealing their superhero identities in a fake deleted scene from ‘Batman v Superman’

MANILA, Philippines – Looks like the upcoming Batman v Superman film was supposed to have talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in it, but its producers unfortunately axed his entire scene – at least this is what Jimmy likes to think.

In Jimmy Kimmel Live’s post-Oscars special which aired on Sunday, February 28 (February 29 in Manila), Ben Affleck, who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman in the film, sat down with Jimmy to talk about the upcoming superhero movie, among other things.

With a deadpan expression on his face, Jimmy said about the fake deleted scene, “I am really, really great in it […] This is my first big role in a movie.”

As a filmmaker, Ben shared, “One of the things you confront are very difficult creative choices. Where you have one thing that’s so, so good, and another thing that’s so, so, so good, but they can’t both be in the movie.”

He then broke the bad news: “The filmmakers made a similar choice with your work in the film.” However, Ben screened the “deleted scene” in Jimmy’s show for the entire world to see.

In the sketch, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman has an tense encounter with Ben’s Bruce Wayne at an art show organized by Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).

“This Batman thinks he’s above the law,” says Clark, while Bruce responds, “We do things a little differently in Gotham.”

Suddenly, Jimmy breaks the tension and makes things super awkward by blurting out their superhero identities with the other guests in attendance. He also annoys the hell out of the pair by taking selfies, livestreaming their altercation over Periscope – among others

Things get more interesting when the two superheroes have enough of him, so watch out for the special cameos!

Batman v Superman will hit Philippine screens on March 26 in 3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D formats.
