Stars pay last respects to Wenn Deramas at director's funeral
MANILA, Philippines – Celebrities paid their last respects to director Wenn Deramas, who was laid to rest on Sunday, March 6 at Himlayang Pilipino in Quezon City. (READ: Stars mourn death of director Wenn Deramas)
Celebrities who were spotted at the funeral include actress Claudine Barrettto, comedian Vice Ganda, Karla Estrada, Ricky Davao, actress Desiree del Valle and boyfriend Boom Labrusca, Eugene Domingo, and Nikki Valdez. ( IN PHOTOS: Wenn Deramas laid to rest)
Gladys Reyes, who worked with the late director in Saan Ka Man Naroroon, said she will miss the director, his laughter and his stories.
"I love you Direk Wenn. Sabi ko nga, kung saan ka man naroroon, ninong ka namin, director ka namin, kaibigan ka namin. Mami-miss ko 'yung mga kuwento mo, halakhak mo at lahat ng mga blind items. Basta lahat ng kuwentuhan," she said.
(I love you Direk Wenn. I said before, wherever you are, you are our godfather, our director, our friend. I’ll miss your stories, your laughter, and those blind items, all of the stories we shared.)
BB Gandanghari, another close friend of Wenn's said: "I think ang galing makipagkaibigan ni Direk Wenn. As you can see, ang pamilya niya, ang mga kaibigan niya...that's the legacy. Wala pa yata ako nakitang tao na kasing galing niya makisama at makipagkaibigan.
(I think Direk Wenn is so good at making friends. As you can see his family, his friends...that's his legacy. I have not seen anyone like him, who's as good at getting along with others.)
"He's the undisputed box office director and I don't know kung may makakagawa yung mga ginagawa niya (if there's anyone who can do what he did)," BB said.

Stars led by Vice Ganda paid their last respects to Direk Wenn on Saturday, March 5 at the Dolphy Theater. To honor the comedy director, the hall was filled with laughter as friends and colleagues shared fond memories of Wenn throughout his lengthy career. – Rappler.com
