MANILA, Philippines – KC Concepcion says that she is open to working with former boyfriend Piolo Pascual, but both of them have to be ready to do it.

In an interview with the press, Wednesday, April 6, at the launch of KC’s new project, KC’s Closet, she said that she and Piolo had been cordial.

“Piolo and I are okay. I think that if there is any project, we would have to talk about it, and of course, dapat pareho kaming (we both have to be) 100% [ready].

“Kasi ang hirap din naman parang hindi ka naman 100% kasi siyempre unfair naman iyon para sa mga manonood at makikita rin naman sa camera iyon if ever (It’s very difficult if we’re not 100% into it. That would be unfair to viewers and it will be definitely seen on camera),” KC said.

“But right now, I just wanna focus on the things na makakapagpa-happy sa akin, na (that will make me happy, like) things I wanna do right now. If the Piolo project comes, then we will see but I have to feel that he’s even 100% [ready].”

In September, KC posted a photo of her and Piolo after their hosting stint for ASAP in London. Back in June, KC said that she and Piolo had been talking to each other again after their breakup made headlines in 2011.

When asked if she had been seeing someone, KC said that she would rather talk about her career, and confirmed that she would renew her contract with ABS-CBN soon. She is set to work on hosting and drama engagements.

She also confirmed that she will be one of the hosts in this year’s Binibining Pilipinas 2016 coronation night on April 17.

“Yes, I’ll be hosting Bb Pilipinas this year once again. The last time was 2011 with Derek [Ramsay] I think, this year is with Xian Lim. So mame-meet ko si (I will meet) Pia Wurtzbach,” KC said.

KC’s Closet

KC, who turned 31 on Thursday, April 7, launched her new project, KC’s Closet, an online shop for pre-loved luxury goods from her own closet.

According to KC, this started way back when she was still selling her stuff in Multiply while she was based abroad.

“Napakalaking jump niya from my work as an actress because it is a social enterprise na hindi ko man alam na social enterprise yung ginagawa ko,” KC said about the project. 

(It’s a big jump from my work as an actress because it is a social enterprise that I did not know was even a social enterprise.)

“Yes may price siya. May kamahalan ang mga luxury goods but if you get it at KC’s Closet, it’s not only less expensive because they’re pre-loved or nagamit ko na.” she said.

(Yes, it’s pricey. Luxury goods are expensive, but if you get it at KC’s closet, it’s not only less expensive because they’re pre-loved or I’ve used it.)

Aside from selling her own things, KC said she will be inviting other celebrity friends to sell their stuff on her website as guests in the near future. Proceeds will be given to the United Nations World Food Program, which KC has actively supported for the last 7 years. The money will be used to feed hot meals for around 60,000 children in Mindanao.

As for her birthday wish this year, KC simply said: “My birthday wish that this year talagang maging successful yung passion projects ko and showbiz projects ko din. So hopefully, there are good movies, good shows na talagang magandang gawin not just for the sake na you’re there but yung magandang gawin.”
