MANILA, Philippines – Right after they took on the Running Man Challenge, Gab Valenciano taught Tanner Patrick how to do one of his famous “super selfies” on Thursday, May 26.

The two are in Manila for YouTube FanFest (YTFF) 2016, where they’ll share the stage with AJ Rafael, Tiffany Alvord, Tyler Ward, and many more.  (READ: AJ Rafael, Tiffany Alvord, and more: Here’s the YouTube FanFest 2016 lineup)

After teaching Tanner and some Rapplers the moves and making them practice, the music came on and Gab performed with them.

A multimedia artist, Gab is known for his quick, high-energy dance videos, where he dances in loud costumes and often features his friends and family. He does everything himself, from the choreography to the post-production, hence the series’ name.

“To be honest, I actually want to post a behind-the-scenes , because what you see is the end product, right? In between, I’m dying, because I have to do every step 10 times,” Gab said during an interview before the super selfie.

“I think it’s just resilience, at the end of the day,” he said chuckling. “No, I think it’s genetics. You know, my dad’s 52 and he does the exact same thing I do.” Gab is the son of all-around performer Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan.

“I think it’s just, in my case, I eat the best I can, I rest before every shoot, and it’s just taking care of your body, at the end of the day,” he added.

Before the super selfie, Tanner and Gab also did their own versions of the Running Man, the latest dance craze made popular by two guys from New Jersey. Gab even taught Tanner a couple of other versions to try out.
