MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – A day before the two are set to battle it out in a mixed martial arts cage, Kiko Matos sprayed pee at Baron Geisler during their weigh-in at the BAMF MMA Center.

On Friday, June 24, The two had just finished weighing in and were posing for photos, when Kiko whipped out a spray bottle and said, “Baron, inumin mo yung ihi ko.” (Baron, drink my piss.)

Baron and Kiko had a heated exchange after one of the Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) officials confiscated the bottle, with Baron suggesting they settle their beef then and there.

The two were shouting curses at each other as Kiko walked away.

URCC founder Alvin Aguilar invited Kiko and Baron to settle their differences after a video of their altercation at a bar went viral.

Their fight is set to be held as a special exhibition at a URCC event June 25 at Valkyrie. They will fight two 3-minute rounds and follow pro MMA rules, which means there will be no elbow strikes or knees to the head.

Retaliation?

After the incident, reporters asked Kiko and Baron separately if the “pee” incident was because Baron kissed Kiko at a URCC press conference on June 21.

Baron responded that he kissed Kiko then, because “he wanted it.”

“He said anytime, anywhere. Magkaharap kami, eh he didn’t kiss me naman… Very ano ako, very comfortable with my sexuality. So siya baka hindi. Siya baka naman gusto niya talagang halikan ako. Mukhang kinilig naman sa video,” continued Baron.

(We were face-to-face, and he didn’t kiss me… I’m very comfortable with my sexuality. So maybe he’s not. Maybe he really wanted to kiss me. It looked like he was happy about it in the video.)

In a later interview, Baron said that Kiko spraying piss at him was a “cheap shot.” Listen to what he had to say below:

Kiko, on the other hand, didn’t answer the question directly at first. He then said that he was just acting before Baron could make another move.

“Ganito ‘yun, una-unahan lang ‘yan. Baka maunahan ka. Inunahan ko lang siya. Inunahan niya ako with the kiss eh, diba? O, eh kung anong gawin niya, at least naka-isip ako ng idea,” said Kiko.

(It’s like this, you have to be first. You might get beaten to it. I just beat him to it. He got to me first with the kiss, right? So whatever he does, at least I was able to think of an idea.)

Both actors were also asked after the incident if the “pee” was real. 

Outside, when he was asked if the pee in the bottle was fake, Kiko answered, “Hindi, gusto mo kunin natin yung bote?” (No, do you want me to get the bottle?) 

Later, Baron also said that the pee was real, telling Rappler, “Yeah, it’s crazy. I should really shower after this, I’m sorry.”

In a statement published later that evening, URCC founder Alvin Aguilar said that the contents of the spray bottle was beer, not pee. “Trust me, if it was [real], Kiko would definitely be hearing from all of us. I would never allow a sick display like that from any of our fighters even if they were just in an exhibition bout. If that was really urine that would be unacceptable and I would pull Kiko out,” he said. 

Alvin also explained that he let the two fight so that they could turn their bad situation into something positive, and that the fight will be real, not staged. Proceeds from the fight will help free political prisoners like Maricon Montajes, a student from the University of the Philippines that was detained in Batangas.

Upcoming fight

Neither Kiko nor Baron have had MMA training prior to URCC inviting them to fight at their event.

Baron was a taekwondo jin, having trained from 6 to 12 years old and competed in national competitions. On the other hand, Kiko has trained in boxing, but says that training for an MMA fight is different.

Asked separately to give messages to each other before they face off, Baron said, “Kung pina-ulanan niya ako ng ihi today, pauulanan ko siya ng bigwas bukas.” (If you rained pee on me today, I’ll rain punches on you tomorrow.)

Kiko said, “Baron Geisler, ang dami mo pa ring sinasabi, magkita tayo bukas, June 25, yun nalang!” (Baron Geisler you still keep talking. Let’s just see each other tomorrow, June 25.) – Rappler.com
