WATCH: Obama tries to name every dead ‘Game of Thrones’ character

MANILA, Philippines – United States (US) President Barack Obama has perks as commander-in-chief – notably getting Game of Thrones episodes in advance – but that doesn’t make it any easier for him to name all the dead characters on the HBO show. A BuzzFeed PSA video lists things that are harder than registering to vote, as the clock ticks to November presidential elections in the US. 

Obama himself proves that tasks such as naming all the characters that got killed off on Game of Thrones is much more difficult than citizens registering to exercise a crucial democratic right.

First, he lists Ned Stark, Robb Stark, and Khal Drogo.

“Then, Jon [Snow],” he says, “but maybe that doesn’t really count.”

He lists two of the Stark boys’ direwolves, namely Bran’s Summer and Rickon’s Shaggydog.

“And then Hodor, that was sad,” he says with a tinge of disappointment.

The President goes on to list Tywin Lannister, Oberyn Martell, Renly Baratheon, and Ygritte the wildling (aka Jon Snow’s former lover)

He ends with the sadistic King Joffrey. “Thank God!” he exclaims.

Other tasks that the video listed were “untangling headphones,” “literally anything involving the game Operation,” “making a friendship bracelet,” and “stacking Cheerios.”

“That stuff’s hard,” Obama says. “But you know what isn’t? Registering to vote. I hope that you all understand that you have the power to shape our country’s course. Don’t take that for granted.” – Rappler.com
