Seth Rogen speaks up on Katherine Heigl’s comments about ‘Knocked Up’
'I respect the fact that perhaps she realizes that it hurt her career, and I don’t want that to have happened to her at all,' Seth says of his former 'Knocked Up' co-star

MANILA, Philippines –  Knocked Up was a hit when it came out in 2007, but there’s been quite some drama surrounding the cast since then – and now star Seth Rogen is talking about comments against the film previously made by Katherine Heigl back in 2008.

In an interview with Howard Stern, Seth spoke up about the feud they had and how he felt after Katherine told Vanity Fair in 2008 the she did not like how she was portrayed in the movie. Her comments upset Seth and the director and writer Jude Apatow.

I thought she hated us,” Seth said. “We made a movie, I was very proud of it, it was critically very well received.”

Seth said that he was very proud of the film adding that it might be his only successful film so far.

“Then we just heard that she didn’t like it and that it seemed that she didn’t have a good experience making it and that she didn’t feel as though the product was reflective of how she thought she should be portrayed.”

“I thought we had a great dynamic. People seemed to like it. We were funny together. I was having a very good time, and then when I heard afterward that she didn’t like it, that she seemed to not like the process, and she didn’t like the end product either. I think when that happens – also your trust feels somewhat betrayed. Cause we have a very open process. We’re like, ‘You have the ability to say anything at any moment. I don’t like this scene. I don’t like how I’m coming across here,’” Seth said.

Seth said that had Katherine voiced out her concerns, changes could have been done.

Howard pointed out that Katherine did like the movie and was concerned about the relationship she ruined.

“I respect the fact that perhaps she realizes that it hurt her career, and I don’t want that to have happened to her at all. Because I’ve said a thousand stupid things and I really like her. A thing like that, especially if she’s being honest … the only people who you know in this situation that it should anyway take away from in this situation is me and Judd because we’re the one she was talking about and for other people to not work with her because she did not like her experience with us is crazy,” Seth said.

Seth said that he and Katherine have yet to talk ever since.

Meanwhile, Katherine responded to these comments by SethIn an interview with the Hollywood Reporter while promoting her new drama Doubt, Katherine, who rose to fame as part of Grey’s Anatomy, said she wishes nothing but the best for him.

“I think that he’s handled that so beautifully, and I just feel nothing but love and respect,” she said.

“I just wish him so much goodness — and I felt that from him, too.” – Rappler.com
