Sunshine Dizon on marriage: No regrets

MANILA, Philippines – Despite the difficulties she’s going through after separating from husband Timothy Tan, actress Sunshine Dizon said she has no regrets about getting married.

In an interview with Ricky Lo in the Philippine Star published Sunday, August 14, the Encantadia actress said that she has no regrets because of the two children she has with Timothy. (READ: Sunshine Dizon, Timothy Tan face off in court over custody of children)

“I have no regrets; I got married at 27. All the pain and sacrifices are worth it, especially having my two beautiful babies,” she said.

Sunshine also addressed the rumors that her mother, Dorothy Laforteza, tried to stop her from marrying during that time she and Timothy got together.

“Actually, I had my mom’s blessing when I got married. Even when this thing happened, my mom was still hoping that we could still fix it,” she said.

Despite the ongoing issues, Sunshine said she’s not closing her doors for a second chance at happiness.

“I’m still young and I’m not closing my doors. But for now, I just want to love myself more and concentrate on my children.”

Last Wednesday, August 10, Sunshine, Timothy and the alleged third party named Clarisma Sison faced each other during a hearing regarding the concubinage complaint Sunshine filed. Another hearing is scheduled on August 25.

The two previously met last July 28 regarding the custody of their children. – Rappler.com
