MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – On Wednesday, June 7, Sun Life Financial released the first in a series of 3 touching short films, and its heartbreaking love story will have you teary-eyed. 

“Waves” tells the story of Marco, a surfing instructor, and Marga, whom he met at the beach. The sweet couple makes plans for the future, but a twist in the end changes the course of their lives. Watch the video below!

After “Waves,” two more short films from Sun Life will be released through www.sunshorts2.com or through their Facebook on June 14 and 21.

At a press conference on Wednesday, the Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said that the films are inspired by stories shared by the insurance company’s clients.
