Sam Concepcion says all’s well with Anne Curtis

MANILA, Philippines – All is well between Sam Concepcion and Anne Curtis, says Sam himself.

The actor finally spoke up on the report that he was confronted by Anne Curtis, the sister of his rumored girlfriend, Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

According to Pep.ph, during the press conference for his new endorsement Chef’s Noodle Thursday, April 10, Sam said that he and Anne did talk and that everything between the two of them has been settled.

“We did talk. Nag-usap nga kami,” said Sam.

“There was a confrontation that happened,” he said – but he also added that he understood why Anne would be protective of her younger suitor, even though he was not expecting what happened that night.

“The reason why I say that I understand where she’s coming from, because, alam mo yun, ang ate naman talaga or kuya [na mas] nakatatanda sa isang kapatid, well, we’ll do that for a sibling. (You know how an older brother or sister, we’ll do that for a sibling.)

“I have a sister, may nakababata rin akong kapatid,” he said. (I also have a younger sibling.)

He insisted that everything was okay between him and Jasmine, and that “all was well” between them all.

The actor also cleared the air on being romantically linked to Julia Barretto, his co-star in Mirabella, saying that there was “no truth” to that rumor. 

This, in reference to the news that Anne, after having a few drinks, reportedly approached Sam at the birthday party of Vice Ganda and confronted him, saying that he wasn’t “classy enough” to be at the event, and that he was fooling Anne’s sister, Jasmine. Reports say that Sam, who was embarrassed, left.

Anne denied shouting at Sam at the party via Instagram.

On Anne’s bashers

Sam also appealed to his fans to stop bashing Anne after the incident was reported, and after she was hurt while taping, echoing earlier sentiments from Anne’s sister Jasmine and boyfriend Erwan Heussaff. 

“Yun din, I hope na we don’t wish badly of her, of Anne. No one deserves to be attacked here, e,” he implored.

The actress was recently hospitalized after she was stung by a jellyfish during a taping for her teleserye Dyesebel. ­–Rappler.com
