Kim Chiu gets surprise birthday party in the US

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Kim Chiu was moved by the gesture of love from friends as she celebrated her 24^th birthday last Saturday, April 19. 

The Ikaw Lamang star, who was in the US for a series of shows with some of the Star Magic Artists, posted a series of photos in her Instagram account featuring the surprise party thrown for her while she was abroad. 

Kim thanked those there with her for all the preparations and the effort to make her day special, and acknowledged that they took great pains to ensure that the surprise in her room remained a secret.

She also gave thanks to her onscreen partner Xian Lim who helped with the party-planning.

“And of course to gelo, norby, nate and @xianlimm your simple gesture at the hotel lobby made me so happy! and kakunchaba nyo with ate luz! cute nyo and funny with the hello kitty balloon!! haha to xi super thanks! #thankyou #thankful #happiness #surpisebday #24,” read part of the long caption.

Meanwhile, Xian Lim wished Kim nothing but “unlimited happiness and tons of success.”

All this comes weeks after Kim and former friend Maja Salvador reconciled, following the much publicized rift between the two last year while doing the teleserye Ina, Kapatid, Anak.  Around that time, Maja admitted to dating Gerald Anderson, who is Kim’s former boyfriend.
