MANILA, Philippines – Anne Curtis’ fans can finally cheer as Tectonic Films, producer of the crime thriller Blood Ransom, has uploaded a one-minute clip from the movie showing the actress and co-star Alexander Doetsch.

The clip shows Doetsch’s character Jeremiah in disbelief that Crystal, portrayed by Curtis, is still alive.

The movie’s director, Filipino-American Francis dela Torre, is also the man behind the 2011 American movie Subject: I Love Youwhich starred Jericho Rosales.

Entertainment Journal reported that Blood Ransom‘s story revolves around Jeremiah, who kidnaps Crystal, the young girlfriend of his American boss Roman. However, his plan fails and he offers to return her, but she refuses. They eventually fall in love and have to be on the run as Roman’s henchmen chase them.

In May 2012, Curtis left for the United States to shoot what she described as “an international project,” the details of which she initially refused to divulge.

It was later revealed that she was shooting for Blood Ransom when a photo of her in a fake missing-person poster was released. In the black-and-white poster, the phrase “Blood Ransom” placed over her lips.

The movie’s initial target release in 2013 has been postponed. A new date has yet to be announced. – Rappler.com
