‘Harry Potter’ star Evanna Lynch in Tacloban for UNICEF project

MANILA, Philippines— Another international celebrity has lent a hand in the ongoing rehabilitation of Tacloban after Typhoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan).

Evanna Lynch, best known as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies, posted a photo of the Tacloban airport on her Instagram account on Monday, June 2. Evanna is in the country together with members of the UNICEF Ireland team.

“First photo I took after landing in Tacloban today. The airport is pretty much just a shack in the wake of the typhoon and this is all construction but the colours and the countryside were so pretty.

“Life has been beautifully simplified here and everywhere people are united in their efforts of restoration. Feeling very lucky to be a part of what the UNICEF Ireland team are doing here. Will post more pics tomorrow,” she captioned followed by a smile emoticon.

The Irish actress is the latest star to visit the typhoon-stricken province, 8 months since it was destroyed by one of the most powerful storms to hit the country.

Previous stars such as Canadian singer Justin Bieber, international footballer David Beckham, and Suits actor Gabriel Macht also visited the country to help in the relief work in the affected places. – Rappler.com
