Stars take to social media during #GlendaPH

MANILA, Philippines – While the Philippines faced Typhoon Glenda (international name Rammasun), some celebrities took to their social media accounts to monitor the storm.  

The social media posts ranged from updates on power outage, to safety reminders, to prayers offered for recovery after the storm. Others simply asked fans to be cautious and keep safe, while others shared photos of what the damage looked like near their location.

Singer Jessie J, who recently performed for the Manila audience on July 14, posted a positive message for her Filipino fans. 

YouTube star Bogart the Explorer posted a reminder about using hash tags responsibly, while Anne Curtis posted a list of hashtags posted by Rappler as a reminder for those who might want to use them.

Actress Angel Locsin took a video of the situation on the streets, while TV host Kris Aquino posted a photo of prayer for the country.
